RIP Lezzbefriends
 

Most long standing members here at Napsterites will remember our flamboyant Admin lezzbeefriends .. you will also know that she has been away for over a year after suffering brain surgery.

Gina contacted me recently to say that Libby, (her real name) passed away last March. :(

LBF was actively involved as an Admin and friend to everyone here since the early Novogate days.. her history at the napster forums goes back to May 2000.. I have missed our daily chats :)

Her level headed abilities as an Admin here and as a School Teacher in real life.. along with her genuine care for You the people of napsterites, really is a sad loss.

Gina has asked me to pass on her message to you... here it is, as is..

but i barely had a chance to thank her...

i called her little belle flower..once..she laughed at me :o
never knew she had been sick until, alot later..but i did notice her missing..
her posts were always warm and freindly

this is just awful news. for her, for gina, for us. the only saving grace is that we got to share a little bit of her during her too short stay in life, and i'll always consider that a wonderful privledge. :(

Libby was such a positive intelligent and fun lady, with never a bad word about anyone. Most of us knew she was very unwell, still the sad news has hit me hard and has made me very thankful of the memories we all had together here.

She always stood out to me as the only person here who would never rise to any provocation. I've never really given a crap about anybody on the net but she was sweet.

In those happy days it was a real pleasure to write my newspaper... By the way, I bought a new computer since and, trust me, I never had business with that repair shop ever again (it took THREE weeks and my box came back with the notice "we don't know what's wrong with your computer"... It turned out it simply was the power supply that was not powerful enough :SP:

damn that was a good post. how very sad that she is gone, i hope she knows how much she meant to all of us.

Sad news indeed. Rereading HellBound's quote makes me wish I knew her better. I'm consoled by the thought that she probably still reads our postings, she simply can't reply to them anymore.

Thank you Lezzbee for helping bring us together and seeing us through even to your untimely end. This community stands as a tribute to your friendship and guidence, and we are forever greatful.

i have great memories speaking to libby so many times. in fact, i think i still have most of my conversations with her in my PM box. a while ago she told me she was ill in an email. she told me something about surgery and i remember wishing her a speedy recovery. the thought she passed away never even crossed my mind. i thought she just lost interest in the site.

my last conversation with her was in late december 2001:

my deepest condolences to gina and libby's family.

I had known about LBF's illness as did many others here, and had always hoped I would see her posting here again. Unfortunatly as time went on I began to think the worst. It is terrible news to have confirmed, but at least we all know now what has happened.

I am going to miss you Libby.

Yeah, I remember her teaching me html on this site. She would always create the cutest Birthday Wishes for others which I viewed sorta as her trade mark signature around here. She'll definitely be missed!

hirco – another one of our very smart and talented young guns! His forum saved us from boredom once when the old nappy forum went down for a long while.

Tapsterman- I always liked this name- it just makes me want to dance!

theflaco – our Spanish hero- always so kind to the ladies of the forum and so helpful with those trying to speak Spanish!!

Thingy – Our bright and energetic poster- remember when the Underground started and you and me started to run up a thread just to increase our counts!! Fun, and nice all rolled into one!!

thinker –as the name implies- he is highly intelligent and witty. Now ladies, don’t let this dude fool you into thinking there isn’t anything to look at here. Gina and I have seen him in his ROTC uniform- you know what they say about a man in a uniform????


twodogpeople – such a shy and delicate young lady- so afraid to voice her thoughts of the moment- hey wait a minute- this is the Queen of Spam!! You just got to love her! She has a heart the size of Texas- even though she is from Michigan!! We love you Dawn!

VWguy – I just love his avatar and want to see him race the VW of his dreams! Your also a lot of fun to have posting!

walberg_rastafari – our fearless flaming smilie guy!! Who is a real sweetheart within! Another wonderful person from Aussie land!!

walktalker Our sweet and adorable newsman. Bless his heart- through computer glitches and malfunctions and very slow repair services he has always hung in there to bring Napsterites their news! You just got to love him for that alone!! And anyone who remembers their sisters B-day is alright in my book!!

the napster forums were the first i ever joined, and she made it less scary for me. Beautiful soul and what a great heart she must have had to have left such a beautiful mark in so many people.

u meet people... and then one day they're gone... and it never seems like the time when u knew them was long enough.

LBF was a wonderful, positive light here in the forums...she will be missed. My heart goes out to Gina. Libby was such a lovely person who went out of her way to be friendly and have a kind word for you. We need more like her.

That is a dammn shame.....LBF will be missed.

Thanks for posting that Gaz. I knew she'd be as beautiful on the outside as she was on the inside.

I'm sure that all of Libby's friends here will remember her as a Lady of true class and compassion....her passing is an enormous loss to the essence of napsterites.

(mind you...If she knew we were fussing over her she would kick our asses .....nicely of course.:BL: )

I feared the worst when we did not hear from her or Gina for some time.

:( um... I have no words. I haven't been around in the Napster community since shortly after Napster bit the dust. I remember the old boards, and I was fairly active there. As you can see from my post count, I did find this place once upon a time, but then got so busy with life that I haven't been back. Now I'm sorry I wasn't. I think I've been gone too long.

I only remember a few names from way back -- T-Bone, Drop Zone, eklectikatie (or something like that :-/ )... and of course Libby.

I just heard about her in the last couple days at another forum where I am an admin, and I was floored. So I've come here to pay my respects, offer my condolences, and remember.

I'd like to refamiliarize myself with some of the crowd here. How many of you are from the old days? ....probably with different names no doubt. Here's a long overdue :W: And Nicobie, now that you know of my dual identity, please don't share that information with anyone over at the other place, ok? ;)

what a tottal and complete bummer.the universe always takes the most beautiful people first, it sux. this woman was so kind you could feel it through the monitor, so wonderful she always made one smile, and so great cause she took the time to care. i am so heartbroken. there are tears hitting my keyboard as i write. i tried to reply yesterday but i just couldnt believe what i had read. i knew she had been ill but i didnt realize how long she was gone- it feels like forever now. she would want me to say something clever and funny to end this. im at a loss. so ill smile and hope she sees it through the clouds. :TS:

i'm so sorry to hear about this. i never really "know" people i meet online as actual people, but i feel like i knew lezbeefriends as a person and not just as a board nick. she was a friend and a mentor, one whose mark will not be forgotten. so long, till we meet again, libby.
