Let me introduce myself…my name is Nikki. I’m Lyn’s a.k.a GOLDIES daughter.
First of all I would like to say I hope all of you had a great Thanksgiving and that I hope you guys will have a great Christmas as well.

My mother told me to let all her great friends know what happened and that it may be little while till she will return.
And the reason for this is…Last night on Thanksgiving around 1:30 pm Goldie’s (my parents) house caught on fire while my mom ,dad and grandmom were sleeping. DON’T worry everyone is fine and no one has gotten hurt. (thank god!) Mommy woke up in time to warn everyone and they were all able to get out. Luckily I had my brother with me because he went with me to go shopping on Black Friday. The fire destroyed EVERYTHING. We were all very lucky but we did sadly loose Two birds (cockatiel and a cock-a-too) and my cat But nothing is treasured more than my family’s lives.

But anyways…we are all very mentally disturbed up by this whole experience. The house is insured and they “insurance people” are going to sit down and talk with my Mom and Dad on Monday. Mommy says that they “should” be getting everything back and everything is going to be okay.


I’m sorry to bother you guys with this….but she told me to let you guys know and not to worry.

Jesus, that is some sad news to wake up to but i am grateful that all of you are alive and kicking.

However all your personal belongings are gone, down to your littlest sentimental ornament and snapshot album. I know I am on the other side of the pond but if there is anything I can do please let me know

Oh man, that's terrible Nikki! I'm glad everyone is OK. Sad about the pets tho. Please tell Goldie that we love her, and will be hoping you all get your lives as back together as you can after something like this.

I'm relieved to know you're all alright, and while I'm sorry the pets were lost I'm glad things weren't any worse. Let your mom know that if there's anything she needs she doesn't even have to ask. Hold your family tight and know that things will work out. Bless you.

At least you guys are alive and well and can start rebuilding. That beats the hell out of the alternative.

Please let your mum know that all our thoughts are with her and the rest of your family also. So thankful that everyone made it through safely although no doubt very upset with the loss.

Condolences for the losses, but thankfulness for what was saved. Hopefully things will begin to get better straight away.

A quick note to let you know how much i appreciate your love and friendship.

We are doing ok, just making some adjustments and counting our blessings.

Insurance will be kicking in soon and hopefully we'll be able to get back online within a week or so.
